Primary Care Physician

WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a dedicated primary care physician to join their academic outpatient clinic in Brooklyn. This faculty-appointed position is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing ambulatory practice, offering a strong balance of teaching, clinical oversight, and administrative time. The role is designed for a physician who is passionate about teaching and providing care to a diverse, Mandarin-speaking patient population, including a significant Fuzhou/Fujian community.

Responsibilities

• Full-time ambulatory position, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Faculty appointment with 2-2.5 days per week dedicated to resident teaching and supervision
• 2-2.5 days per week available for managing own patient panel
• ½ day of protected administrative time
• Oversee approximately 2 residents at a time, with a maximum of 4 residents (uncommon)
• Conduct cursory patient exams and engage in clinical discussions
• Supervise and sign off on resident documentation
• No direct responsibility for resident paperwork
• On-call responsibility 3 times per year, one week at a time, with pager call only for clinical questions
• Provide second-line support, with residents as first call
• Typically staffed with 1–2 additional attendings at the clinic
• Utilize EMR: NextGen, with a planned transition to Epic in 2027
• Parking is not guaranteed; street and nearby church parking available

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Completion of Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Residency (Internal Medicine preferred)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Eligible for New York medical licensure
• Interest in teaching and faculty medicine
• Proficiency in Mandarin is highly desired
