Job description

Job description Health by Design / Better Health Primary & Pediatric Care Center in New Mexico needs an FM or IM physician for bridge coverage while they recruit a permanent hire. Pay is $160/hr, with 1.5x OT at $240/hr. This is a true value-based care model, no fee-for-service, no RVU pressure. Schedule is strictly Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, no late clinic, no call, and no after-hours charting. A minimum 90-day commitment is required with no exceptions, but in exchange this is a genuinely low-stress, predictable schedule with full outpatient scope only. Flight, lodging, and car rental are reimbursed.

Job Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions. Perform comprehensive physical examinations. Develop individualized treatment plans. Promote wellness and preventive care. Coordinate specialty referrals when appropriate. Order and interpret diagnostic testing. Participate in quality improvement initiatives. If Internal Medicine, see patients 18 and up, with FNPs on staff covering pediatric patients. If Family Medicine, full-spectrum care from infants through geriatric patients.

Qualifications

Board certified or truly board eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Active New Mexico license required. BLS and DEA required. Minimum 2-3 years of experience. Clean background, no malpractice or license issues, no exceptions. Must be available full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm only, no partial availability considered. Minimum 90-day commitment strongly preferred and required at time of submission.

Working Hours

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, 100% outpatient. No call, no late clinic, no after-hours charting.

Skills

Comfortable in a 100% outpatient, value-based care setting, 8-14 patients per day. Elation EMR experience preferred. Strong fit for a physician who wants predictable hours and no RVU-driven pressure over a sustained 90+ day assignment.
