Job description
We are seeking a compassionate Staff Physician (MD/DO) to provide comprehensive primary care services in Brady, TX. This is a full time outpatient rural primary care opportunity within a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH), working as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary healthcare team.
The physician will care for patients of all ages, manage acute & chronic conditions, coordinate specialty care, support quality improvement initiatives, and help expand access to healthcare in the local community.
Job Responsibilities
• Diagnose, treat & manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Develop treatment plans & prescribe medications
• Review laboratory & imaging results
• Coordinate specialty referrals & follow up care
• Maintain accurate & complete EHR documentation
• Collaborate with nurses, medical assistants & behavioral health providers
• Mentor clinical staff & students when applicable
• Support PCMH principles & quality improvement initiatives
• Participate in clinical policy reviews & community wellness activities
• Build strong relationships with patients & the local community
Qualifications
• Active, unrestricted Texas physician license
• Current DEA & DPS registrations for Texas practice
• Active BLS or CPR for Healthcare Professionals certification
• Current with applicable specialty board & state CME requirements
• Ability to obtain hospital privileges at designated area hospitals when required
• 1+ year of direct clinical practice experience preferred
• Knowledge of the Texas Medical Practice Act preferred
• Familiarity with PCMH principles preferred
• Experience with EHR documentation systems preferred
Working Hours
• Standard full time clinical schedule
• Occasional extended hour clinic sessions may be required
