A healthcare organization in Alabama is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Practice Physician (MD/DO) for a 3–6 month locum tenens assignment with the potential to extend.
This is a 100% outpatient primary care opportunity offering the kind of schedule that is hard to overlook: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, no call, no nights, and major holidays off.
The physician will provide comprehensive primary care to an established patient population, managing acute and chronic conditions, preventive medicine, routine examinations, and women's health services.

Job Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
Manage an average patient volume of approximately 20–25+ patients per day.
Perform routine physical examinations and office-based procedures within scope of practice.
Provide preventive care, health screenings, and patient education.
Develop and manage appropriate treatment and follow-up plans.
Provide women's health services, including well-woman examinations and breast exams.
Treat patients across the lifespan; candidates should specify any age restrictions.
Review laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic results and determine appropriate follow-up care.
Prescribe medications and manage ongoing medication therapy as clinically appropriate.
Maintain accurate, complete, and timely patient documentation using Epic EMR.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure continuity and quality of patient care.
Qualifications
Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Family Medicine
Active Alabama medical license
Alabama DEA
Alabama Controlled Substance License
Clean background
Candidates should be prepared to answer:

Are you willing and able to perform well-woman examinations, including breast exams?

Skills
Ability to evaluate and manage both acute and chronic medical conditions.
Comfortable treating a diverse outpatient patient population.
Ability to treat patients of all ages preferred; candidates with age restrictions should provide their applicable age range.
Comfortable and clinically competent performing well-woman examinations, including breast exams.
Strong preventive medicine and patient education skills.
Sound clinical judgment and independent decision-making abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and patient communication skills.
