Schedule: Part-Time / Shift-Based (Mon/Wed 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM | Tue/Thu 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM)
Position Overview
We are seeking a high-performing Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our health and wellness team in Artesia, NM. At our health centers, we operate under a patient-first model: "We are only and always about the patient. We promise to always fight for their greatest good."
In this role, you will practice broad-scope, relationship-based medicine free from RVU quotas or fee-for-service pressure. You will have dedicated time (averaging 30 minutes per patient) to focus entirely on deliverable health outcomes, proactive disease management, and building meaningful clinical relationships.
Key Responsibilities
-
Direct Patient Care: Deliver thorough, patient-focused primary care, acute care, and occupational health services to an engaged workforce.
-
Practice Broad-Scope Medicine: Conduct physicals, diagnose and manage chronic conditions, perform minor procedures, and coordinate care without rushing through brief visits or heavy coding friction.
-
Workplace & Occupational Health: Integrate workplace safety principles and OSHA standards into preventive wellness and injury prevention.
-
Order & Prescribe: Issue prescriptions, order/interpret diagnostic tests and labs under the appropriate state and medical director authority.
-
Workflow & EMR Management: Maintain clean clinical documentation in our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, applying effective workflow management and training support where needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
-
Education & Licensure: Master’s degree (MS, PA-C) and an active, unencumbered Physician Assistant license in the State of New Mexico.
-
Certification: Board certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) preferred; appropriate prescriptive authority credentials in New Mexico.
-
Clinical Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience in a Primary Care, Family Practice, or Urgent Care setting.
-
Occupational Health: Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace health concepts preferred.
-
Technical & Operational Skills: Proficiency with EMR software, web tools, spreadsheet, and word processing applications; strong problem-solving and workflow management skills.
What Makes Our Practice Different
-
Quality Over Quantity: Spend an average of 30 minutes per patient visit—no rushed appointments or factory-style throughput.
-
Zero RVUs or Volume Metrics: We are not fee-for-service. Success is measured by patient health outcomes, engagement, and satisfaction.
-
Work-Life Balance: Structured clinic hours with consistent scheduling and minimal administrative bloat outside of patient care hours.
