Job description
We are seeking a Primary Care Physician for a locum tenens position in Evansville, Indiana. This is an in-home health evaluation opportunity serving Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and select commercial plan members. Please see below for more information.
- Practice setting: home health / in-home member evaluations
- Coverage area: Gibson, Perry, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh, and Warrick Counties
- Applicants should indicate the specific county they are applying for
Job Responsibilities
Perform a medication and medical history review at each visit
Complete a physical evaluation in the health plan member's home
Document findings using a pre-populated, patient-specific form provided for each evaluation
Complete an average of 6-9 in-home evaluations per day
Travel between member residences within the assigned county
This position does not include prescribing medication, ordering laboratory tests, or altering members' existing treatment regimens
Qualifications
Active Indiana medical license required, must be in hand
DEA registration is not required for this position
New graduates accepted
Working Hours
Day shifts, 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
No nights or weekends required
No call required
Scheduling is coordinated directly between the provider and the client organization
