Job description
We are seeking a Family Practice physician for a permanent position in Methuen, Massachusetts. This is a permanent placement opportunity with a community health center providing comprehensive and continuing primary care to a diverse patient population. Please see below for more information.
Job Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive and continuing care across a range of settings, including community health center sites, hospitals, nursing and private homes, schools, and shelters
Refer patients to other providers as clinically appropriate
Maintain medical records on assigned patients
Participate in patient care audits for quality assurance and utilization review
Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities at the individual, team, and organizational level
Participate in the teaching of medical residents, medical students, and students in other health care professions
Supervise nurse practitioners as assigned
Maintain professional standards and current clinical knowledge through medical conferences, seminars, and continuing education programs
Serve as a member of related committees as needed
Represent the health center with external authorities and in the community as required
Travel between clinical sites may be required
Qualifications
Completion of residency training in good standing
Current Massachusetts medical license
