We are seeking a Primary Care Physician for a locum tenens position in Lake Charles, Louisiana. This is a home health opportunity conducting pre-scheduled in-home health evaluations for Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and select commercial plan members. Please see below for more information.
- Practice setting: home health
- Coverage area: Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, and Jefferson Davis Parishes
- A pre-populated, patient-specific evaluation form is provided for each visit
- New graduates are welcome to apply
Job Responsibilities
Perform a medication and medical history review at each visit
Complete a physical evaluation of the member
Document each encounter on the pre-populated, patient-specific form provided
Complete approximately six to nine evaluations per day
Travel to member residences throughout the assigned parishes
This role does not include prescribing medication, ordering laboratory tests, or altering a member's current treatment regimen
Qualifications
Active Louisiana state license required; license must be in hand
DEA registration not required
Working Hours
Daytime hours within a 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. window
No nights or weekends required
No call required
