Job description
Aya Locums is seeking a board-certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician for a 26-week primary care locum tenens assignment in Baraboo, Wisconsin.
Position Details
- Start date: October 5, 2026
- Assignment length: 26 weeks
- Schedule: Four to five days per week
- Accepted schedules:
- Monday–Thursday
- Monday–Friday
- Shift options:
- 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Schedule flexibility may be discussed during the interview
- No after-hours call
- Providers participate in the “Doctor of the Day” rotation, addressing calls received during business hours and triaged by a nurse
- Average patient volume: 18–22 patients per day
- Patient population: All ages; providers who see adults only may also be considered
- Practice setting: Primary care clinic
- EMR: Epic
- Support staff: 1:1 support with a clinical MA, LPN, or RN
Clinical Details
Providers will manage a broad primary care population, including a significant geriatric population, middle-aged and younger adults, and patients with multiple comorbidities. Common conditions include diabetes, heart disease, and other complex chronic illnesses.
Standard primary care procedures are expected. A residency clinic is available and performs many routine procedures.
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Active Wisconsin license or IMLC eligibility
- BLS certification required
- ACLS preferred
- Minimum experience: To be determined
- No DEA or CSR requirement specified
- No licensing assistance available
Credentialing and Orientation
Credentialing is handled through SSM. Orientation requirements include completion of online EMR modules or pre-employment training before the first day. Additional orientation details will be provided by the facility.
Travel
Billable travel may include airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage.
