Shift: Day Shift
Hours: 16–24 hours per week (24 hours/week preferred)
Duration: Contract
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise the delivery of physician services.
• Develop and implement medical policies and procedures in compliance with ICF/IID standards and Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) requirements.
• Serve as the Primary Care Physician for assigned residents by:
o Performing comprehensive physical examinations.
o Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic medical conditions.
o Ordering laboratory tests, diagnostic studies, medications, and treatments.
o Monitoring treatment plans and medication effectiveness.
o Completing timely and accurate medical documentation.
• Collaborate with Certified Nurse Practitioners, nursing staff, psychologists, psychiatrists, case managers, direct care staff, and family members/guardians.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide medical consultation and recommendations to improve resident health outcomes.
• Participate in facility committees, including:
o Infection Control
o Admission & Discharge
o Medication Review
o Emergency Preparedness
o Human Rights
o Unusual Incident Review
• Consult with outside healthcare providers, county developmental disability boards, and state agencies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal, and facility regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Active and unrestricted Ohio Medical License.
• Current Board Certification in an appropriate medical specialty.
• Current DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) Registration.
• Healthcare Provider CPR Certification.
• Experience providing primary care and medical oversight.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Position Summary
The Physician Administrator 3 provides medical leadership and direct patient care for individuals residing in Ohio developmental centers. This position is responsible for overseeing clinical services, developing medical policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID) standards, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote the health and safety of residents.Key Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.• Active and unrestricted Ohio Medical License.
• Current Board Certification in an appropriate medical specialty.
• Current DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) Registration.
• Healthcare Provider CPR Certification.
• Experience providing primary care and medical oversight.
