Family Medicine Locum Opportunity – Newcastle, WY

We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) for an ongoing outpatient locum opportunity in Newcastle, Wyoming. This is an excellent opportunity to practice broad-spectrum Family Medicine in a supportive rural clinic with a flexible weekday schedule and no call responsibilities.

Position Highlights

• ASAP start
• Ongoing assignment
• Monday–Friday
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Option for 5x8s or 4x10s
• No call
• Full-time coverage needed

Practice Details

• Outpatient Family Medicine clinic
• Approximately 17 patients per day
• Primarily adult and geriatric patient population
• Coverage shared between the Newcastle and Upton clinics based on patient demand
• Epic EMR
• Collaborative team including a part-time Family Medicine physician, Urgent Care NP, and experienced clinic support staff

Scope of Practice

• Full-spectrum outpatient Family Medicine
• Chronic disease management
• Preventive care
• Pain management
• Routine office procedures
• Fracture and cast follow-up care
• Independent practice in a rural setting

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
• Active Wyoming medical license or IMLC eligibility
• Active DEA
• No minimum experience requirement, but providers must be comfortable practicing independently

Travel & Credentialing

• Emergency privileges available
• Credentialing timeframe: TBD
• Travel expenses covered
• Client provides dedicated lodging for locum providers, with the option to arrange your own housing if preferred
