A healthcare facility in Los Angeles, California is seeking locums Family Medicine coverage for outpatient primary care. This assignment supports patient care across the lifespan (pediatrics through geriatrics) with a focus on preventive care and chronic disease management.
Coverage spans multiple clinic sites within close proximity, with locations scheduled in advance (approximately one month ahead). The clinical model includes on-site translators and MA support.
This Family Medicine Physician assignment is clinic-based with no call and no telehealth. Candidates with Internal Medicine backgrounds may be considered, with preference for true Family Medicine scope.
Job Responsibilities
• Preventive care, annual physicals, and standard health screenings
• Chronic care management
• Women’s health services including Pap smears, contraception prescribing, STD testing, and IUD insertion/removal
• Postnatal care (mother and infant) as needed
Qualifications
• Active California medical license
• Experience in primary care; urgent care backgrounds may be considered
• Ability to support full-scope Family Medicine (including women’s wellness services)
Working Hours
• Weeks requiring Saturday coverage run Tuesday–Saturday to maintain five 8-hour shifts
• Hours: M–F 8:00a–5:00p
• Late shift (based on clinic availability): M–F 11:00a–7:30p
• Saturdays: 7:00a–3:30p
• No call
• No telehealth
• 8 hours of admin time every 4 weeks
