Job description
We are seeking a Physician (Family or General Practitioner) for a locum tenens position at a New York State Veterans Home in Oxford, New York. This is a 242-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, including a 32-bed enhanced memory care unit, serving veterans, veteran spouses, and Gold Star parents. Please see below for more information.
- 242-bed skilled nursing and rehab facility with a 32-bed enhanced memory care unit
- Onsite coverage at least 5 days per week, Monday-Friday, 8:00a-4:30p
- On-call medical coverage in the event no provider is onsite
- Routine and as-needed resident evaluations, coordination of care, and documentation
- Collaborate with administration, nursing leadership, and other healthcare professionals
Job Responsibilities
- Provide on-call medical coverage when no provider is onsite
- Perform routine and as-needed resident evaluations and coordination of care
- Document in the facility's electronic medical record system
- Participate in care planning processes
- Collaborate with administration, nursing leadership, and other healthcare professionals
Qualifications
- Active New York state license
- Board certification NOT required
- 1 year of experience preferred
