Job description
We are seeking a Family Physician for a permanent position at a community health center in Methuen, Massachusetts. The physician provides comprehensive and continuing care to patients requiring routine and emergency treatment across community health centers, hospitals, nursing and private homes, schools, and shelters. Please see below for more information.
- Community health center setting
- Comprehensive and continuing primary care
- Teaching opportunities with medical residents and students
- May supervise nurse practitioners
- Travel between sites may be required
Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose disease processes and provide medical treatment
- Refer patients to other providers as appropriate and maintain medical records
- Participate in patient care audits and quality improvement activities
- Teach medical residents, students, and other health professions trainees
- Serve on-call including as a backup clinician as assigned
- May supervise nurse practitioners
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Residency completion in good standing
- Current Massachusetts medical license
