Job description
We are seeking a Family Medicine physician for a locum tenens position in Melrose, Minnesota. This is a Critical Access rural hospital role with a primary focus on weekend call/coverage. Please see below for more information.
- Critical Access rural hospital setting
- Primary need: weekend coverage on a 1:4 or 1:5 rotation (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), primarily on call
- Morning rounding, pediatric admissions, and ER support
- Flexible - more frequent weekends or added clinic days available
- Hospital census averages 7-9 medical/transitional care patients; ~13-15 clinic visits/day if working clinic
- Tele-hospitalist coverage for adult admissions weeknights
- Epic EMR
- 13 week assignment (6 month commitment preferred)
Job Responsibilities
- Perform morning rounding and pediatric admissions
- Provide ER support
- Cover clinic shifts (~13-15 visits/day) if working additional days
- Be within 30 minutes response time for back-up hospital call
Qualifications
- Active Minnesota license required
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- 100% clean record (no malpractice, not named in any suits)
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS required
- Local candidates preferred
- Epic EMR experience
