Arc Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician for a 6-month outpatient Primary Care assignment at the Bath VA Medical Center in Upstate New York.

If you're looking for a locum assignment without nights, weekends, call, or federal holidays, this opportunity offers a highly predictable schedule and an average patient volume of approximately 13 patients per day.

You'll provide outpatient Primary Care to Veterans while working alongside an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

The physician will provide comprehensive outpatient Primary Care, including:

• Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic medical conditions
• Annual wellness and preventive care visits
• Management of diabetes, hypertension, COPD, heart disease, and other chronic conditions
• Ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic testing
• Coordinating care with specialists and ancillary services
• Patient education and counseling
• Documentation within the VA electronic medical record (CPRS)

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or U.S. territory
• Active DEA registration
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to obtain VA credentialing and security clearance
