Melissa Memorial Hospital, an award-winning nonprofit Critical Access Hospital in rural Colorado, is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Family Medicine Physician to join its growing provider team.

Practice Highlights

• Monday-Friday Schedule
• Option for a traditional 5-day workweek or 4x10 schedule
• Approximately 12-13 patients per day
• Practice alongside 3 Nurse Practitioners and 2 Family Medicine Physicians
• Dedicated administrative support
• Athena EMR
• Dragon Dictation
• Strong nursing and administrative team

Call Schedule

• Very low-volume call
• Approximately one week every third week of the month
• Trauma Level IV hospital
• Call responsibilities are light and will be discussed further during the interview process

Minimum Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine
• Eligible for Colorado Medical License
• DEA (or ability to obtain)
• BLS
• ACLS
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for community-based medicine
• Interest in long-term physician leadership

Preferred

• Spanish bilingual
• Rural or Critical Access Hospital experience
• Leadership interest
• Full-spectrum Family Medicine experience
• Desire to build long-term roots in the community
