Family Medicine Opportunity in Augusta, GA
Position Overview:
Seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine physician to join a multidisciplinary burn and wound care program. This position combines outpatient Family Medicine, wound care, hyperbaric medicine, employee health, inpatient consultations, and resident education within one of the nation's premier burn centers.
Practice Details:
Full-time employed position
Outpatient wound care and Family Medicine practice
Manage approximately 30 patients per day
Employee Health physician responsibilities
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) patient management
Inpatient and outpatient wound care consultations
Opportunity to supervise residents and medical students
Shared call approximately 10 days per month, including some weekends
Clinical Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive Family Medicine care
Evaluate and treat chronic wounds, diabetic ulcers, pressure injuries, and postoperative wounds
Manage Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy consultations and treatment
Perform inpatient and outpatient wound care consultations
Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
Coordinate multidisciplinary patient care
Supervise nursing staff, residents, and medical students
Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:
MD or DO degree
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
3-5 years of related experience (residency accepted)
Eligible for Georgia medical license
DEA registration
BLS and ACLS certification required
PALS preferred
Strong interest in wound care and hyperbaric medicine
