Post-Acute Care Medical Director Opening in Syracuse, NY
Full Time | Medical Director
Seeking a physician to provide post-acute care and medical directorship services across skilled nursing facilities in the Syracuse area.
Highlights:
Full-time schedule (5 days/week)
Combination of clinical care and medical directorship responsibilities
Skilled nursing facility-based practice
High degree of autonomy with strong clinical and operational support
Monthly Medical Director stipend

No cap on productivity earnings
Opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients, families, and facility leadership
Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations
Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
Coordinate care with nursing staff, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams
Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
Provide medical oversight and leadership within partnered facilities
Educate patients and families regarding health management and treatment plans
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Ensure quality care and regulatory compliance within facility settings
Qualifications:
MD or DO
Active New York medical license
DEA certification
Experience in post-acute care, hospital medicine, primary care, emergency medicine, or related fields preferred
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Interest in leadership and facility-based medicine
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated earnings: $302,718 - $338,480+
Fee-for-service compensation model
Monthly Medical Director stipend
