Position Summary:
Searching for a physician who is board-certified in internal medicine, family medicine, or emergency medicine and is experienced in primary care to provide full-time on-site services to the male population at this facility. The schedule is 2 weekday shifts/week: no evenings, weekends, or holidays. There is some flexibility in start/end times based on facility needs. On-call coverage is not required.Roles and Responsibilities:
- Working collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff to administer treatment for patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting utilizing an electronic health record system
- Conducting exams and writing evaluations and reports
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing
- Managing medication
- Completing reclassifications and other reviews as indicated
- Making referrals for specialized care or treatment
- Performing duties in accordance with scope of practice, ODRC policies, procedures, protocols, and related American Correctional Association standards
- Participating in Continuous Quality Improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews
- Engaging in collaborative agreements, as needed
- Caseload: Up to 2.5 patients/hour
