Looking for more than a routine exam lane? This multi-specialty eye care group lets Optometrists practice true medical optometry, w/ dedicated tech support & ophthalmologists on the same team
Compensation & Support:
• Team of 5 Ophthalmologists, 3 Retina Specialists, & 6 Optometrists
• $150K base salary w/ earning potential to $250K+ as you build a full medical schedule
• Patients waiting from day one, so income ramps quickly
• Techs handle histories, workups, refractions, testing, scribing, & contact lens training
• You set a sustainable pace; schedules are built around quality care, not maximum volume
• Quick access to ophthalmology for consults & second opinions, a strong fit for new grads & residents building medical experience
Scope of Practice:
• Diagnose & manage glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye, ocular infections, corneal abrasions, & elevated IOP
• Treat independently at the top of your Illinois license
• Pre & post-op care & co-management of surgical patients w/ in-house surgeons
• In-office procedures: punctal plugs, foreign body removal, & epilation
• Balanced mix of medical & routine vision care w/ room to grow a niche
• Strong internal & regional referral base keeps medical cases coming
