Government Airport Health Screening Physician | Atlanta, GA
Medix Healthcare Staffing is seeking a physician (MD/DO) to support a federal public health initiative at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia.
Required Schedule (1 Physician Needed):
- Tuesday – Saturday | 6:00am – 2:30pm
Assignment Details:
- Contract: October 12, 2026 – February 5, 2027
- Location: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport | Atlanta, Georgia
- Local candidates from the Greater Atlanta area strongly preferred
What You Will Be Doing:
- Evaluate travelers referred after initial nursing screening
- Conduct focused public health assessments using established federal protocols
- Provide clinical guidance and oversight to nursing staff
- Collaborate with federal agencies and airport personnel
- Document assessments and public health interventions
Requirements:
- MD or DO
- Active unrestricted U.S. medical license
- Board Certified preferred
- Clean malpractice history
- U.S. Citizen — required for federal airport security clearance
- Ability to pass an extensive federal background investigation
- Ability to obtain airport security badging
