JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active Virginia license
• Board: BC/BE in Family Practice or Internal Medicine
• DEA: Yes, required
• Experience: Completion of an approved residency training program in family practice

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform physical examinations of new and existing patients and determine necessary diagnostic tests.
• Interpret examination findings and test results, and implement treatment plans.
• Provide comprehensive health maintenance and medical care to the entire family unit, including preventive medicine, behavioral sciences, and community health.
• Participate in surgical, obstetrical, gynecological, and critical care procedures according to training and demonstrated ability.
• Instruct healthcare providers and non-medical personnel in health-related topics including first-aid, cardiac life support, and healthcare maintenance.
