## Primary Care Physician opening | Chico, CA Northern California — Sacramento Valley Region 90 miles from Sacramento Salary Range: $272,300 – $371,300 ## Position Details * Full-time, permanent position * Setting: Outpatient community health clinic — FQHC * Schedule: Assigned shifts including evening and weekend requirements per contract * Reports to: Chief Medical Officer * Virtual care services included — phone and video visits ## Practice Overview Seeking a BE/BC Primary Care Physician to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care across clinic sites in the Chico area: * Examine, diagnose, prescribe, and administer treatment to patients * Manage a panel of primary care patients including acute care, chronic disease management, and preventive care * Supervise and direct family nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other mid-level providers * Oversee the performance of nursing and other support personnel * Review laboratory, X-ray findings, and other diagnostic tests * Provide virtual care services via phone and video to assess patient needs, gather clinical history, diagnose, and provide appropriate guidance or treatment * Participate in consumer education and in-service training for support personnel * Participate in quality measures and peer review * Complete EHR documentation and maintain case histories per established procedures * Sensitive to and experienced with serving a diverse patient population ## Compensation & Benefits * Competitive compensation package * Details provided upon inquiry ## Required Qualifications * MD or DO from an accredited medical school — required * Board Certified or Board Eligible — required * Valid California Physician and Surgeon License in-hand or willingness to obtain * Completed and approved internship — required * Current CPR certification — required * Ability to work assigned shifts including evenings and weekends per contract * Sensitivity to diverse patient populations ## About the Organization * Community health organization committed to providing accessible, high-quality care * Mission-driven culture built on humility, curiosity, and enthusiasm for serving the community * Maintains the highest professional ethics with a team-based, collaborative approach * Committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of care ## About the Community – Chico, California * Vibrant college town in the heart of the Sacramento Valley — home to California State University, Chico * Warm, sunny climate with abundant outdoor recreation including hiking, cycling, and swimming * Beautiful Bidwell Park — one of the largest municipal parks in the United States * Thriving arts, dining, and craft beverage scene with a welcoming community atmosphere * Affordable cost of living compared to coastal California * Easy access to Sacramento, the Sierra Nevada mountains, and the Northern California coast * Strong sense of community with diverse cultural events and festivals throughout the year
