Job description
We are seeking a Family Practice physician for a locum tenens position based in Boston, MA. This is a multi-state clinical trial coverage opportunity supporting an FDA case study for an epilepsy drug in trial phase, requiring travel to patient sites across the country, with no call required. Please see below for more information.
Job Responsibilities
Travel (by flight or drive) to patient sites located across multiple states
Conduct 5–8 site visits per month (maximum 8 visits)
Care primarily for pediatric patients (approximately 65% are 18 years and younger), as well as adult patients
Support a clinical trial focused on epilepsy
Service patients located across NJ, MI, CT, PA, NY, NH, RI, VT, ID, NV, CO, MN, FL, GA, NC, SC, AL, TN, AR, LA, CA, WA, and MD
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 active state licenses required (IMLC compact providers ideal; 25 licenses preferred)
DEA license required
1 year of experience required
Credentialing timeframe: 2 weeks
Working Hours
Scheduled coverage, no call
5–8 site visits per month (maximum 8)
Start Date: 6/15/2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Locum Tenens – 1099
