Family Medicine Locums Physician

Family Medicine Opportunity – Coal Center, Pennsylvania

A Family Medicine opportunity has reopened at a busy, well-supported outpatient clinic in Coal Center, PA. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician seeking a consistent schedule with no call requirements and a collaborative practice environment.

Practice Details:

• Setting: Free-standing outpatient clinic
• Schedule:
  • Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 4–5 days per week required
  • No call

Patient Volume & Workflow:

• Up to 18 patients per day (9 morning / 9 afternoon)
• Mix of adult and pediatric patients (approximately 89% adults, 11% pediatrics)
• 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM includes 30-minute lunch and 30 minutes for administrative work
• High-volume practice—providers should be comfortable with efficient documentation

Patient Population & Cases:

• All ages (newborn to geriatric)
• Annual wellness visits, physicals, well-child visits
• Sick visits, ER follow-ups, hospital follow-ups
• Pre-operative evaluations

Support & Resources:

• APP (mid-level) support available 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Additional on-site provider support (PA and physician)
• EMR: eClinicalWorks

Requirements:

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (preferred)
• Will consider Board Certified Internal Medicine physicians with Family Medicine and pediatric experience
• Active Pennsylvania license preferred (IMLC candidates considered)
• DEA, ACLS, and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred, but new graduates will be considered

Travel & Expenses:

• Travel fully covered, including mileage, airfare, lodging, parking, rental car, fuel, and ground transportation
