We are seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Physician for an outpatient primary care opportunity in Jackson, California.

- Patient Population: All ages
- Patient Volume: 12–15 patients per day
- Types of Cases: Preventive care, chronic condition management, acute illnesses, minor injuries, and follow-up care
- Support Staff: Registered Nurses
Job Responsibilities
Delivers the highest quality of care by utilizing organizational resources responsibly and practicing within the scope of training, experience, and skill level.
Assists the Medical Director and Executive Director in developing standards of care to measure service quality and support compliance with external accrediting organizations such as JCAHO and AAAHC.
Collaborates in establishing and maintaining productive relationships with local, state, and national organizations to support effective community health initiatives.
Maintains hospital privileges at appropriate inpatient facilities.
Serves as a staff physician by examining patients, obtaining and documenting medical histories, and ordering or performing tests, analyses, and diagnostic imaging to evaluate patient conditions.
Reviews and interprets reports, test results, and examination findings to diagnose medical conditions.
Prescribes and administers appropriate treatments and medications.
Promotes preventive health by counseling patients on diet, exercise, hygiene, and disease prevention using a public health model.
Orders and/or administers immunizations as appropriate and provides oversight of the immunization program.
Refers patients to medical specialists or other practitioners for consultation and specialized treatment when needed.
Reports births, deaths, and outbreaks of contagious diseases to the appropriate government agencies.
Adheres to the employer’s Corporate Code of Conduct at all times.
Must be willing to utilize the organization’s electronic health record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
Possession of a current and unrestricted California medical or osteopathic license.
Board certified or board eligible in Family Practice, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, or another closely related primary care specialty, or a minimum of five (5) years of relevant clinical experience.
Recent experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred.
Current DEA registration required.
Current CPR or Advanced Life Support certification required.
Must successfully pass Occupational Health screening.
Must provide a valid form of identification as listed on the U.S. Department of Justice Form I-9 and be eligible for verification through the E-Verify system.
