Facility:
This opportunity is with a government contracting organization that provides essential services to our nation's Veterans through compensation and pension examinations. The facility operates multiple locations throughout Oklahoma and offers flexible scheduling options including both on-site examinations and the ability to schedule Veterans within your own practice.
Opportunity:
Physician - General Medicine
Job Details:
• Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans on a PRN basis
• Available positions in Lawton, OK (1 day per week, 25 mile radius preferred) and Stillwater, OK (1 day per week, 25 mile radius preferred)
• Accept providers from family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine backgrounds
• Two coverage options: travel to VES leased facility or schedule Veterans within your own practice
• Flexible scheduling with half-day (4 hours) and/or full-day (8 hours) options
• One-time non-treatment examinations that are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment
• Conduct range of motion testing, muscle strength testing using goniometer
• No prescribing or treatment required
• Must be proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions
• Familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio conditions required
• Complete standardized Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) within 48 hours of exam completion
• Record review required in most cases with follow-up administrative work including addendums and medical opinions
• Must own personal laptop (no Mac/Apple products)
• DMA certification required (CME credits available) - must obtain once privileged if not already certified
• Board certification and active, unrestricted Oklahoma license required
• Quick credentialing and onboarding process with comprehensive training provided
• One-time bonus available for completing required training and performing first exams
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
