Position Overview

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to join the team at St. Maries Clinic. This physician will provide comprehensive primary care services for patients across the lifespan, managing both acute and chronic medical conditions in a collaborative outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive primary care evaluations and physical examinations
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
Manage common conditions including:
Diabetes
Hypertension
Cardiovascular disease
Respiratory illness
Preventive and wellness care
Order and interpret diagnostic testing and laboratory studies
Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
Perform minor procedures when appropriate
Provide patient education regarding disease management and prevention
Coordinate care with specialists and healthcare team members
Maintain accurate and compliant medical documentation

Schedule

Monday – Friday outpatient schedule
Standard daytime clinic hours
Shared call rotation (if required)
Balanced schedule designed to support physician wellness

Qualifications

MD or DO degree from accredited medical school
Active Idaho medical license or eligibility for licensure
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
Current BLS certification upon hire
Ability to obtain ACLS certification within six months

Skills & Experience

Experience in primary care or family medicine preferred
Strong clinical diagnostic and treatment skills
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care
Familiarity with Joint Commission standards and clinical quality initiatives
