A tertiary care teaching hospital in Johnstown, Pennsylvania is seeking a Family Medicine Program Director to lead its established Family Medicine Residency Program. This leadership role combines clinical care, teaching, and program administration within a supportive academic environment.
Position Highlights
• Lead a well-established and respected Family Medicine Residency Program
• Collaborative, resident-centered culture with strong collegial support
• Balanced role including approximately:
* One-third clinical patient care
* One-third teaching, mentoring, and precepting residents
* One-third administrative leadership and program development
• Program Director embedded within the residency clinic, maintaining an open-door leadership approach
• Engaged learning environment with daily noon conferences and strong resident participation
• Active residency social media presence and strong resident engagement
• New affiliations with osteopathic medical schools providing opportunities for program growth
• Dedicated professional development including leadership training and additional CME support
Clinical & Teaching Responsibilities
• Supervise and mentor Family Medicine residents in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Participate in inpatient service approximately 1:6 weeks with resident support
• Provide clinical teaching and educational oversight
• Support curriculum development, accreditation compliance, and program quality improvement
• Foster a collaborative learning environment for residents and medical students
