Primary Care Opportunity in 7 Community Based Outpatient Clinics (Casa Grande, Safford, Sierra Vista and Green Valley, Yuma, Northwest, and Tucson) Arizona
Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System (SAVAHCS) is currently looking for primary care physicians for the 7 community-based outpatient clinics of SAVAHCS.
Job Responsibilities
• Works seamlessly with other health care team members to support VA quality and patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Provides direct patient care to optimize patient health including ordering diagnostic testing, prescribing medication including contraceptive medication, consulting with specialty services, and utilizing computerized/electronic medical records.
• Provides patient care in accordance with professional standards, core values and commitment to service excellence.
• Work Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts between Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
• Eligible to compressed/flexible Work Schedule
• Not a telework eligible position.
Qualifications
• Must have an active and unrestricted license in any of the US States
• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine
• Residency Training in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine in any of the US States
• Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine/Family Practice by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) of American Board of Family Practice (ABFM)
