Primary Care Physician (Family Medicine)
Location: Welch, MN
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Compensation: $270,000 – $320,000
A community-focused healthcare organization is seeking a compassionate Primary Care Physician to join a collaborative clinic in Welch, MN. This full-time role offers a 4-day workweek with no weekends, evenings, holidays, or after-hours call, allowing physicians to focus on delivering meaningful patient care while maintaining excellent work–life balance.
This opening is due to the retirement of a long-tenured physician, creating a great opportunity for a provider who values relationship-based, patient-centered medicine.
Position Overview
The physician will provide comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages, including preventive services, chronic disease management, and acute care. The clinic operates in a patient-centered model that prioritizes quality care and long-term relationships over RVUs or quotas, allowing physicians to focus on delivering thoughtful care.
Appointments are designed to support high-quality interactions with 30- and 60-minute visits, conducted both in person and virtually.

Job Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive primary care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
Deliver preventive care, wellness visits, and patient education
Maintain accurate documentation using Athena EMR
Collaborate with clinic staff and pharmacy to ensure coordinated care
Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited institution
Active and unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain)
Board Certified in Family Medicine preferred (non–board-certified physicians may be considered)
Interest in community-based or underserved care highly valued
Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to patient-centered care
Working Hours
4-day schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
No weekends, evenings, holidays, or after-hours call
30–60 minute patient visits supporting relationship-based care
1-hour lunch break daily
1 hour of administrative time built into each day
On-site pharmacy available (does not dispense controlled substances)
