Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers creates and sustains healthy rural communities by providing accessible, high quality medical, dental and behavioral health care for all, while recognizing and addressing other factors that influence health outcomes.

Purpose Statement:

We exist to ensure that every person in our rural community, regardless of income, background or circumstance has access to compassionate, high-quality and affordable healthcare. Our purpose is to remove barriers to care, support wellness across the lifespan and strengthen the health of communities we serve.

Core Values:

Core Values are the ideals that guide us in our daily work and remind us what is important in our work. Prior to 2025, Core Values had not been created for WMCHC. Collaboration between leadership, human resources and the Act With Empathy (AWE) committee, resulted in the WMCHC Core Values shown below.

• Maintain, in good standing, an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Maintain an unrestricted Federal Drug Enforcement Agency license.
• Remain in good standing as a member of the Medical Staff of Hospital.
• Abide by the ethics of the medical profession and all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of professional medical theory, practice, and medical care to give and evaluate patient care.
• Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care.
• Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
• Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques as a professional health care provider; in taking medical history to assess medical condition and interpret findings.

• Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance, in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
