Physician:

Provides medical care, including diagnosis and treatment, to patients in the clinic following established standards and practices/protocols.

Qualifications:
  • Maintain, in good standing, an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Maintain an unrestricted Federal Drug Enforcement Agency license.
  • Remain in good standing as a member of the Medical Staff of Hospital.
  • Abide by the ethics of the medical profession and all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of professional medical theory, practice, and medical care to give and evaluate patient care.
  • Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care.
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
  • Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques as a professional health care provider; in taking medical history to assess medical condition and interpret findings.
  • Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence.
  • Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance, in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards and ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures and to communicate clearly.
