Full-time Nocturnist opportunity in Syracuse, New York, joining a well-established Hospitalist team in a physician-led environment with strong subspecialty support. This role focuses on overnight inpatient care within a mission-driven healthcare system. Experienced physicians only; new graduates will not be considered.
Job Responsibilities
Work a 7-on / 7-off rotation with 12-hour shifts
Perform admissions and manage hospitalized patients overnight
Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations
Provide closed ICU overnight rounding for Hospitalist patients
Monitor and respond to acute changes in patient condition
Document all encounters in EPIC EMR
Collaborate with subspecialists and multidisciplinary teams
Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care
Qualifications
Active New York medical license or willingness to obtain – Required
Clean malpractice and license history – Required
Recent NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) – Required
MD or DO degree from accredited medical school – Required
Experience required (no new graduates)
Not accepting visa or Locums candidates
Working Hours
7 on / 7 off schedule
7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
