Job description
Full-time Hospitalist opportunity in Rome, New York, within a well-supported inpatient team at a community-focused hospital. Physicians work a 7 on / 7 off schedule with a manageable patient census and strong sub-specialty and intensivist support. This is a non-trauma designated facility offering a collaborative environment and excellent infrastructure. New graduates accepted (must achieve Board Certification within 2 years).
Job Responsibilities
Round daily on assigned patients (average 12–15 per physician)
Admit patients and manage rapid responses and codes
Work in an open ICU with 24/7 intensivist consultation
Perform patient assessments, histories, physical exams, and documentation (Paragon EMR)
Coordinate care with specialists and hospital staff
Collaborate within a hospitalist team managing 40–50 patients collectively per day
No on-call duties
Qualifications
Must obtain Board Certification within 2 years of contract start – Required
Active New York license or willingness to obtain – Required
Clean malpractice and license history – Required
DEA, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications – Required
NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) – Required
Not accepting visa candidates
Not accepting Locums or 1099 candidates
Must be comfortable in open ICU setting

7 on / 7 off schedule
7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
