Primary Care Physician - Alaska in 2026 !!

Job Title: Family Medicine Physician (MD) – 6-Month Contract
Start Date: May 1, 2026 (Expedited credentialing – AK license & DEA required at submission)

Position Overview

We are seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Family Medicine Physician (MD) for a full-time, 6-month contract assignment in beautiful Alaska. This opportunity is due to a current gap in coverage and offers a consistent weekday schedule with no call responsibilities.

Schedule & Assignment Details

• Duration: 6 months
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
• Shift Length: 8-hour days
• Compensation: $150/hour plus expenses.
• Call Requirement: None
• Setting: Outpatient clinic
• EMR: EPIC
• Patient Volume: 16–18 patients per day
• Patient Population: All ages
• Practice Type: Solo provider

Clinical Responsibilities

• Outpatient primary care services for patients of all ages
• No rounding or admissions
• No required procedures

Desired (but not required) procedural skills:

• Skin excisions and punch biopsies
• Nexplanon & IUD placement
• Cryotherapy
• Toenail evulsions

Qualifications

• MD (Family Medicine)
• Active Alaska medical license (required at submission)
• Active DEA registration
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Must demonstrate involvement as an admitting physician for at least 20 patients within the past 24 months
