We have a FQHC in Houston, TX that needs locums support ASAP. They can start as quickly as March 2nd, but will take a later start date.
There are two different positions with the same job description, but slightly different hours.
Locations:
North Houston- Near Loop 8, between I45 and I 69
West Houston-Near Loop 8, between I69 and Westpark Tollway
Volume: 16–18 patients per day
Travel: Local candidates only
Job Responsibilities
Scope of Practice:
• Full-spectrum outpatient primary care
• Must see both pediatric and adult patients
• Management of acute, chronic, and complex conditions
• Preventive care and immunizations
• Uncomplicated prenatal care
• Minor in-office procedures (EKGs, injections, venipuncture, screenings, etc.)
• Patient education and care coordination
• EMR documentation completed within 48 hours
• Participation in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
• MD or DO
• Board Certified – ABFM, AOBFM, or Internal Medicine-Pediatrics
• Active Texas Medical License (required)
• Active DEA
• Completed accredited Family Medicine or IM-Peds Residency
• Minimum 3 years’ experience preferred
• Must be comfortable seeing pediatrics and adults
• Community health/FQHC experience preferred
• Bilingual strongly preferred (Spanish, Arabic, Burmese, Chinese, etc.)
Additional Notes:
• Must be comfortable working in a culturally diverse, community health setting
• Must comply with FQHC regulations and Texas reporting laws
Working Hours
Schedule:
Mon–Tue 8a–5p
Wed 11a–7p (flexible if needed)
Thu–Fri 8a–5p
1:6 Saturdays (locums are not required at this time but please ask if they are open)
Occasional late days and Saturday rotation
WEST HOUSTON-
Schedule:
Monday–Friday 8a-5p
1:6 Saturdays - (locums are not required at this time but please ask if they are open)
Occasional late days and Saturday rotation
