This facility is part of Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus company and government contractor dedicated to serving our nation's Veterans by providing medical examinations and evaluations for disability claims and separation health assessments.
Opportunity:
Physician - General Medicine
Job Details:
• Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans • 2 days per week needed at the Pensacola location • Option to work half days (4-hours) and/or full days (8-hours) • One-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams • Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing • No prescribing or treatment involved • Quick credentialing and onboarding process • Eligible specialties include family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or anyone with background in general medicine or experience with compensation and pension • DMA certification required (can earn CME credits) • Must be proficient in using a Goniometer • Must be familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio conditions • Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions • Personal laptop required (no MACs/Apple products) • Training provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) • Reports must be submitted within 48 hours of exam completion • Record review required in most cases • Board Certification required • Active and unrestricted full license required • Must be located within 50 miles of the facility • Opportunity for one-time bonus of $650 for completing all required training and performing first exams
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
