This facility is a government contractor helping our nation's Veterans by providing medical evaluations and assessments. They offer a supportive work environment focused on serving veterans through comprehensive medical examinations across multiple locations in Vermont.
Opportunity:
Physician - General Medicine
Job Details:
• Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for veterans • Two work options available: per diem at VES facilities (within 50 mile radius of provider's home) or using provider's own office in Vermont locations • Current openings in Burlington, VT (1 day per week, 100 mile radius accepted) and Rutland, VT (2 days per week, 50 mile radius required) • PRN basis, ongoing need • Option to work half days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours) • One-time non-treatment CP exams and separation health assessments • Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing • No prescribing or treatment involved • Quick credentialing and onboarding process • Accepts specialties: family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or background in general medicine/experience with compensation and pension • Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions • Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products) • Requires active AANP certification • Active and unrestricted full Vermont license required • Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified • Follow-up administrative work required (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics) • One-time bonus of $650 for completing all required training and performing first exams • Local candidates only, travel included in rates
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
