Facility:
This facility is a government contractor helping our nation's Veterans by providing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. The organization has multiple locations throughout the country with specific needs in Tennessee, particularly in the Cookeville area.
Opportunity:
Physician - General Medicine
Job Details:
• Per diem position in Cookeville, TN - 1.5 days per week needed (five mile radius preferred) • Non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams + Separation Health Assessments • Option to work half days (4-hours) and/or full days (8-hours) • Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing • No prescribing or treatment involved • Quick credentialing and onboarding process • Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions • Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products) • Active and unrestricted full Tennessee medical license required • Board Certification required • Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified • Follow-up administrative work required on a regular basis (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics) • Acceptable specialties include: family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or anyone with background in general medicine or experience with compensation and pension • Local candidates only - travel included in rates • Weekends can be accepted but are not required
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
