Facility:
This facility is part of Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a government contractor helping our nation's Veterans. They provide Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans across the country with locations in multiple states.
Opportunity:
Physician - General Medicine
Job Details:
• Current openings in Nebraska: Grand Island (own office required, 1 day per week, 25 mile radius preferred) and North Platte (per diem, 1 day per week, 50 mile radius required) • Perform one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments • PRN basis, ongoing opportunity • Option to work half days (4-hours) and/or full days (8-hours) • Primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessment (range of motion testing, muscle strength testing) • No prescribing or treatment involved • Quick credentialing and onboarding process • Accepting specialties: family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or anyone with background in general medicine or experience with compensation and pension • Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions • Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products) • Requires active and unrestricted full Nebraska license • Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified • Follow-up administrative work required (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics) • Local candidates only, travel included in rates • Board Certification required • Self-Query NPDB (pulled within 30 days) required for application
