Position: Locum Tenens Physician — Outpatient Clinic
Location: Houston, TX
Start Date: January 2026
Assignment Length: 6 months (with option to extend)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours only
Setting: Outpatient Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions in an outpatient setting
Perform routine physical examinations and preventive care services
Develop and implement patient treatment plans in accordance with best practices and clinic protocols
Accurately document all patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Collaborate with clinical staff, nurses, and administrative teams to ensure efficient patient flow and care delivery
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and preventive health measures
Comply with all clinic policies, regulatory standards, and quality measures
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related specialty (as applicable)
Active Texas medical license or ability to obtain
DEA and BLS/ACLS as required
Experience in outpatient or primary care settings preferred
Ability to commit to a minimum 6-month assignment
