Primary Care Physician Job Details

• Job Title: Locum Tenens Primary Care Physician – Outpatient Clinic
• Location: Rio Grande, NJ
• Position Type: Locum tenens (Travel/Contract)
• Practice Setting: Family Medicine / Primary Care Outpatient Clinic
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Day Shift)
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Hours per Week: 40
• Patient Volume: Average 20 adult patients per day
• Contract Length: 13 weeks, with potential for ongoing or locum-to-perm
• EMR: Cerner
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $7,100 - $8,410

Primary Care Physician Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (Primary Care Physician)
• Active New Jersey Medical License or ability to obtain before start date
• BLS Certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in adult outpatient care (Family Practice)
• Proficiency in EKG interpretation
• Experience performing disability exams (occupational medicine) preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR preferred
• Experience in a primary care or outpatient clinic setting preferred

Primary Care Physician Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive adult outpatient care in a primary care clinic
• Interpret EKGs and perform disability exams as needed
• Document patient encounters using Cerner EMR
• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care with no call, inpatient, or ED backup required
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
