We are seeking a 1099 Collaborative Physician to provide clinical oversight and partnership for our Georgia-based Nurse Practitioners. This role offers a flexible, part-time schedule ideal for a physician passionate about mentoring, quality improvement, and advancing value-based healthcare.
Role Details:
- 1099 independent contractor position.

Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a Collaborative Physician to provide clinical oversight and partnership for our Georgia-based Nurse Practitioners. This role offers a flexible, part-time schedule ideal for a physician passionate about mentoring, quality improvement, and advancing value-based healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the collaborating physician for Upperline Health Nurse Practitioners in Georgia in accordance with state Medical Board requirements.
Provide clinical consultation, guidance, and support to NPs on patient care and complex treatment plans.
Conduct chart reviews and periodic assessments of NP documentation to ensure compliance, quality, and alignment with Upperline protocols and state regulations.
Participate in scheduled meetings with NPs as required by state law and company policy.
Be available for timely communication and collaboration via phone, secure messaging, or virtual meetings.
Support NP onboarding, education, and clinical development, fostering consistency in care delivery.
Partner with regional and operational leaders to ensure regulatory compliance and clinical excellence.
Qualifications
MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Georgia medical license. Additional state licensure is a plus.
Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related specialty.
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in primary care or chronic disease management.
Prior experience collaborating with or supervising Nurse Practitioners.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Knowledge of state-specific collaborative practice regulations.
Strong communication and leadership skills with a commitment to team-based, value-driven care.
