Required Skills:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
- Current, unrestricted medical license in Louisiana
- DEA certification for prescribing controlled substances
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience providing direct patient care
- Proficiency in physical assessments, diagnostic testing, and treatment planning
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently with high integrity and professionalism
- Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality regulations
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Nice to Have Skills:
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Pediatrics
- Experience working in correctional, detention, or residential healthcare settings
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Familiarity with social determinants of health and culturally competent care
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited U.S. or Canadian program
- At least one year of direct patient care experience in a primary care setting
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR
Other Requirements:
- Availability to work 8-10 hour shifts, five days per week
- Flexibility to respond to medical emergencies and participate in on-call rotations
- Ability to respond promptly within four minutes during emergencies
- Physical ability to perform emergency procedures and assist patients as needed
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly pay rate of $150 all inclusive, with weekly pay via direct deposit
