Family Medicine Physician – Faculty Position Location: Central Michigan (30 Minutes from Saginaw) Practice Setting: Outpatient + Inpatient Teaching Position Type: Full-Time, Employed – Faculty Role
Position Overview Join an ACGME-accredited, unopposed 6-6-6 Family Medicine Residency Program with a strong academic and population health focus. This physician-led organization is known for its supportive teaching environment, clinical excellence, and community engagement. Key Responsibilities- Faculty member will work closely with the Program Director, 7 faculty physicians, and 1 behavioralist
- Leadership, mentorship, and supervision of Family Medicine residents
- Inpatient responsibilities: Hospital rounds with FMS resident team
- Outpatient responsibilities: Precepting residents in clinic and providing direct patient care
- Teaching medical students from partnering institutions
- Program includes a 2-2-2 rural track in Alpena
- Strong emphasis on population health and community-based care
- Known as a state leader in Family Medicine education
- Monday–Friday, traditional hours (some flexibility)
- Call: 1:9, shared weekends and holidays
- Full-spectrum Family Medicine: Preventive care, acute/chronic illness management, across the lifespan
- MD or DO (U.S. or foreign equivalent)
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency
- Eligible for unrestricted Michigan license and Controlled Substance License
- Replacing a departing physician in a longstanding faculty role
