Family Medicine Physician – Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan
Practice Type: Outpatient | Position Type: Full-Time | Status: Permanent
Clinical Role
Full-time Family Medicine Physician opportunity in Sault Ste. Marie, located in Michigan’s scenic Upper Peninsula. This role is ideal for experienced physicians, graduating residents, or fellows with an interest in outpatient primary care, pediatrics, and optional OB/newborn support.
Practice Details
- Established primary care team with three locations near the hospital
- Strong demand for services in the community

- EPIC EMR
- Outpatient-only role, with optional OB/pediatrics and c-section support
- Flexibility to develop special interest areas within your scope of practice
- Full-spectrum family medicine: physical, emotional, and social health from birth through adulthood
- Preventive care, chronic disease management, acute illness treatment
- Traditional hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Willing to discuss 4-day work week with extended hours
- Call: No more than 5 days/month of backup phone call
- Community need and physician retirements
- MD or DO (U.S. medical degree or foreign equivalent)
- Board Certified or Eligible in Family Medicine
- Completion of an ACGME-approved residency
- Eligible for unrestricted Michigan medical license and Controlled Substance License
