This facility is part of Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a government contractor dedicated to helping our nation's Veterans. The organization provides essential medical examination services to support veterans in receiving appropriate benefits and care across multiple locations in New Mexico.
Opportunity:
General Medicine Provider
Job Details:
• Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for veterans • Multiple location options available: Silver City/Deming (2 days/week), Hobbs (1 day/week), and Grants (1/2 day/week) • Provider must have their own office location (50-mile radius requirement) • PRN basis, ongoing opportunities • Flexible scheduling with options for half days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours) • Conduct one-time non-treatment CP exams and separation health assessments • Primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessment (range of motion testing, muscle strength testing) • No prescribing or treatment responsibilities • Quick credentialing and onboarding process • Open to providers with backgrounds in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, general medicine, or experience with compensation and pension • Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions • Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products) • Requires active and unrestricted full medical license • Must complete DMA training to become DMA certified • Local candidates only (travel included in rates) • Regular administrative follow-up work required (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics) • Cannot be active military duty, in the reserves, or actively employed at the VA • Weekend work available if desired
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
