Fosston, Minnesota | Family Medicine w/ Hospitalist Work
Clinical Role:
- Join a collaborative team of Family Medicine Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians
- Patient-focused care across clinic, hospital, nursing home, and outreach sites
- Referral fees available for qualified candidates
- Full-Time: 1.0 FTE: 36 patient contact hours (32 if including inpatient rounding)
- Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday 8 AM–5 PM; Saturday Walk-In 9:30 AM–12 PM
- Average Patients/Day: 18–20
- Average Procedures/Day: 1–2
- OB Care: Pre/post-natal care for 80–100 patients/year; deliveries via shared-care with OB/GYN
- Facility: 50-bed Critical Access Hospital
- Inpatient Census: ~8 patients/day
- Emergency Room Volume: 8–12 patients per 24-hour shift
- Call Coverage:
- Primary: Weekdays, weekends, holidays (3–4 days/month)
- Backup: 8–10 days/month
- Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietitian, Diabetes Education, Behavioral Health, Home Health, Tobacco Cessation, Path/Lab, Radiology/Imaging, Weight Management
- Board Certified / Board Eligible: Family Medicine
- Eligible for NHSC and state loan repayment
- Location: Fosston, MN — “Where the prairie meets the pine”
- 40 min west of Bemidji, 1 hr east of Grand Forks, 3 hr from Winnipeg, Canada
