Grand Rapids, located on the banks of the Mississippi River, offers a beautiful resort and recreation area with access to over 1,000 lakes in Itasca County. The city enjoys a reputation as one of the top cities in per capita retail sales in Minnesota, making it an attractive place to live and work.

Facility:

This state-of-the-art clinic features 24 exam rooms and is building a team of 4 MDs and 4 Nurse Practitioners. The facility works in close collaboration with the existing team in Deer River (20 minutes away) and utilizes EPIC electronic medical record system. The practice is physician-led and offers modern amenities in a supportive healthcare environment.

Opportunity: Family Medicine - Hospitalist

This position offers a flexible 0.6-1.0 FTE opportunity for Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine physicians without OB requirements. The role includes both clinic work and hospitalist responsibilities, allowing for a diverse and fulfilling medical practice.

Job Details:
  • Work as a leader of a Care Team, collaborating with other healthcare team members to achieve patient care objectives
  • Provide continuity of care for patients and families utilizing Essentia Care Processes
  • Hospitalist call approximately 1 week every 6 weeks, serving as backup after ER docs
  • Hospitalist coverage includes 3-4 day stretches every 6 weeks at the Deer River Hospital
  • Primary clinic work in Grand Rapids with hospitalist duties at Essentia Health Deer River Hospital, a modern 20-bed Critical Access Hospital with 24/7 ER physician coverage
  • Additional opportunities include performing colposcopies, endoscopies, stress tests, and EGDs
  • Flexible schedule options available from part-time to full-time (0.6-1.0 FTE)
Compensation:

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation.
